This is the reusable bag we wanted to inherit from our parents and that your kids will want too. It is sustainable handmade by leather artisans, chrome-free and made of genuine natural grained leather.
The good stuff is that it will only look better the more you shop with it. Based on an old book carry bag from the 70’s that surely contained “On The Road” and other great 70’s books. This high-quality leather will feel stiff at first but it will quickly soften and age in a genuine and beautiful way. The natural color is untreated, and will darken by sunlight and is of course sensitive to moisture and dirt. It can however be treated with natural olive oil to make it more durable and to create a great darker tone. Size approximately 33,5*40 cm, handle drop 23 cm.
Little known fact: A study showed that a canvas or cotton reusable bag would have to be reused a total of 171 times to offset the higher carbon emissions compared to a normal plastic shopping bag. The same study found however that the average cotton bag is used only 51 times before being thrown away. We know this will be used more. (Wikipedia 2011)
