Chelsea Boots were invented for Queen Victoria in 1836 and the stretchable rubber produces a comfortable shoe combining the convenience of laceless shoes with the profile of lace-ups.
This chrome-free model is hand-made in the traditional way with genuine natural grained leather and a lime-tree wooden sole.
The wooden sole is 4 inches (10 cm) high and has a 1.2 inch (3 cm) high platform in the front. The untreated nature color will darken over time into that great natural color. The high-quality natural grain leather will be harder in the beginning but will quickly soften and stretch with wear. Bear in mind that natural leather, if fully soaked, will stretch a lot!
The rubber sole is nailed to the wood. It will loosen over time, since wood is a natural living material so please check it every now and then, and put on some glue if necessary. The wooden sole is sensitive to water. Please also see our care instructions to make these shoes last longer and please also see the size guide to find the best size for you.
This model will fit a normal or lower ankle and tend to run small in size compared to our super-high shoes. Size 35-41. |
