During the late 50s a new style of unisex sport shoes chocked the adult fashion world. Low preppy loafer started to be worn on University campuses by girls and boys alike and Audrey Hepburn established the look on screen in the film Funny Face from 1957. This side-buckled driving loafer for men and women was one of those first unisex shoes and comes in nubuck grey, nature and black, vegetable tanned leather and a natural leather sole.
The natural grain leather
The beautiful natural grain leather will soften and stretch with wear, and will fit just perfectly with time. The leather will just look better the more you wear it or if you rub them with olive oil or similar. However please try to use your shoes in dry weather, unless you rub them with olive oil or other treatment. If fully soaked they will stretch a lot but no worries just let them dry naturally. The natural color will become darker with sunshine and over time, or when you rub them with olive oil.
The leather sole
The leather sole is made from 100% pure vegetable tanned leather like old quality shoes and will last if you protect the leather sole from dirt and moisture with a leather cream (we're sure your local shoemaker / heel bar can recommend a great one). To protect the leather front sole from wearing out and to make it more resistant to moisture, it's also a great idea to put on a rubber sole (of course a bio-degradable one).
