Tassel Loafer emerged during the 1950 as a variation of the Penny loafer in the American East-coast prep school culture, often associated with business and legal classes. Loafers where originally men´s shoes but became a unisex shoe during the 1950´s when worn by great looking girls on campus.
This disco version of the Tassel loafer has a 4 inch (10cm) high heel and ism hand-made of vegetable tanned leather and a natural leather sole.
The natural grain leather
The natural grain leather will soften and stretch with wear, and will fit just perfectly with time. The leather will just look better the more you wear it. However please try to use your shoes in dry weather, since natural leather really doesn't like moisture. If fully soaked they will stretch a lot! Let them dry naturally. This nature color also darkens over time, or when you rub them with olive oil as well as when being exposed to direct sunshine.
The leather sole
Please protect the leather sole from dirt and moisture with a leather cream (we're sure your local shoemaker / heel bar can recommend a great one). To protect the leather front sole from wearing out and to make it more resistant to moisture, it's also a great idea to have them put on a rubber sole (of course a bio-degradable one).
This shoe has a narrow fit. Size 35-41.
