This T-bar sandal is a closed-toe model that started to be seen more during the early 1900's. Later the style became common again in the 1950's and again at the music festivals of the 1960's following the cultural and clothing revolution. This Hasbeen model is based on the Bohemian Swedish clogs that ruled the 70’s. The T-Strap Shoe is 5 cm (2 inches) high and really comfortable to walk in. This chrome-free model is hand-made in Sweden using old shoe artisan methods with genuine natural grained leather and an alder tree wooden sole.
The natural grain leather
The beautiful natural grain leather will soften and stretch with wear, and will fit just perfectly with time. The leather will just look better the more you wear it or if you rub them with olive oil or similar. However please try to use your shoes in dry weather, unless you rub them with olive oil or other treatment. If fully soaked they will stretch a lot but no worries just let them dry naturally. The natural color will become darker with sunshine and over time, or when you rub them with olive oil. The leather in Swedish Hasbeens' shoes is prepared using natural vegetable oils and is chromium free. Chromium is bad for the environment and its people. It's used today in about 95% of leather shoes to make the production cheap, quick and to make the leather feel softer. |
