Information to UK customers!
As the United Kingdom is no longer a part of the European Union, you will now see all prices on our website ex VAT. This means that the prices are now 20% lower than before brexit.
If you order for an amount below 135 GBP, 20% tax/VAT will be added in checkout. If you order for an amount that exceeds 135 GBP, tax/VAT will be charged at the border by UK government, according to the new brexit regulations.
Please also note that other charges levied by the UK may apply to customs such as customs duty, regardless of your order value.
Return Policy You may return your order and get a refund, or exchange the item, within 14 days from delivery. When returning an order for a refund a return shipping costs is charged and deducted from your refund. If you decide to use the return label include in the package you also agree to the return shipping fee.
The shipping cost and the return shipping fee is not the same. The return shipping fee is charged per returning item and will be deducted from the product’s purchase price. We recommend using the return label we provide for a safe and carefree return process. If you choose to use another postal service, please note that you are held responsible for lost or damaged packages. Please make sure to choose a registered post service since we are not able to collect the package from a pick-up point. Please inform us if you are using another postal service and we will provide you with the correct shipping address. However, we recommend you using the return label included in the package for a safe and carefree return process.
Please note, the return shipping cost is per returning item. When returning an order for a refund a return shipping costs is charged and deducted from your refund.
The item must be in the same exact condition when you return it as it was when you received it.
Please note, we will not approve any returns of used or dirty items. Until you have decided to keep your order, our shoes must be tried on a clean carpeted surface.
The items must be returned in their original packaging, as it is part of the product. Avoid damaging the original packaging by returning the shoes or cloths and shoe box inside an overpack.
Please make sure to fill out and include the return form in your package.
You have to send your return back with the pre-paid return label, which is included in the package. If you return your order with another shipper, we do not take responsibility for lost items or possible delays with your return.
If you fail to return the item in the original shoebox or in the original packaging we will withdraw 50kr/5EUR/5GBP from the refund. When returning an order for a refund a return shipping costs is charged and deducted from your refund. The cost for exchanging an order is free of charge. Please note, that is you have purchased a sale item, we will not refund the shipping fee which was charged when placing the order. So, for returning sale items, shipping and return shipping are charged in shipping costs.
For Return or Exchange
If you want to return or exchange your order, please fill out the return form which is included in your box. For exchange: - Please fill out the online exchange form here, before sending back your products. Please note, we are not able to hold any items at our warehouse for exchange. Therefore, we are not able to guarantee that the model and size you wish to exchange to will still be available in stock once your return has been received and handled by our warehouse. If the item you wish to exchange to is not available in stock, and there is nothing else to exchange to, we will process a refund and the return shipping fee will be charge accordingly. If you want to make sure you receive the item that you want, we would advise you to place a new order online and return your order for a refund. It is only possible to exchange to something in the same price range. If you want something that cost more than your original order, please place a new order.
Return shipping costs
When returning an order for a refund, a return shipping cost is charged per item and deducted from your refund. The cost for exchanging an order is free of charge. In case of returning or exchanging an order, for Swedish returns please use the prepaid DHL label, and for international returns please use the prepaid UPS label, that came with your order and leave your parcel at your nearest DHL(only Swedish orders)/UPS(only international orders) service point. If there is not a UPS service point near by, you can schedule a collection here, by UPS. Please note, the return shipping costs is per returning item. So, if you are returning two pairs, the return shipping cost will double. Declined items For all packets that are not picked up or if you at delivery decline to sign for the ordered package, you will be charged an additional fee of €30/300SEK/30GBP/30USD, excluding from the shipping and return shipping costs. The fee covers the costs of the extra handling and processing fee. If you change your mind right when the package was sent from us, you must still pick up the package at your delivery point and send it back to us. If the package is not picked up, it will be automatically registered as NOT PICKED UP and charged accordingly.The shipping costs of sending the order to will not be refunded and the return shipping fee will still be deducted. In case there is not included a DHL or UPS label with your order, please send us an e-mail at email@example.com, and we will assist you. Swedish Hasbeens cannot give a refund of any customs, import duties or taxes paid outside of EU, even if it is for damage goods or mistake by Swedish Hasbeens. In case of returning an order for a refund, please note we do not take responsibility for any currency changes and will refund the same amount that we received.
How to return or exchange items:

Pack the shoes Place the shoes in their original shoebox and make sure you use the same over pack as the shoes came in. Please enter your order number on the return form included inside the package. Seal the package properly.
Send your shoes For Swedish returns please use the prepaid DHL label, and for international returns please use the prepaid UPS label, that came with your order and leave your parcel at your nearest DHL (national)/UPS (international) service point. In case of returning an order for a refund, a return shipping cost is charged per item and deducted from refund. The cost for exchanging an order is free of charge. In case there is not included a DHL or UPS label with your order, please send us an e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Refund or Exchange When we receive your return, we will handle your refund/exchange within 14 days. Refund: You will receive an e-mail confirmation when a refund has been made to the same the payment option you used while placing your order. If you have paid through Klarna, please report your order has returned with Klarna to avoid late fees, as we are not able to refund any late fees by Klarna. Exchange: You will receive an order and shipping confirmation when your exchange order has been handled. Please note that it can take longer to process returns during sales. It is only possible to exchange for something in the same price range. If you want something that cost more than your original order, please place a new order. In a case of exchange or return you will be responsible for the item during transport/shipping. In case of disputes, Swedish law is applicable. Processing of faulty goods purchased on our website. If you believe that your item is faulty, or if it has broken, you need to file a claim with us before returning the item. Please take a picture of the fault and send an e-mail to email@example.com. We have to approve the claim before you send it back to us, otherwise we will not be able to handle your claim, and the item will be sent back to you. The defect will be evaluated by our customer services. If the reclaim is valid we will either send you a new pair of the damaged model, or refund you if they are not in stock. If the reclaim is not valid we will give you instructions on how to fix the shoe or alternative solutions. If returning because of damaged goods or if the return is due to a mistake made by Swedish Hasbeens, we will not deduct any shipping costs and refund the cost for the item.
Shipping & Delivery

we offer free shipping on delivery to access point on full priced items for european union countries.
We ship all packages with DHL within Sweden, and with UPS to the rest of the world. DHL will deliver to your local delivery point, UPS for international orders will deliver to your door. UPS do not deliver to box addresses. If you are not at home at the time UPS deliver, they might leave your package outside your door. We do not take responsibility for missing packages in conjunction with that. UPS do not deliver to a PO box address. Payment You pay with your credit card or with Paypal. Please note that it is not possible to have a different billing and shipping address when paying with Paypal. The site will use the address used in the customers Paypal account. We have free shipping on full priced items for Sweden and the rest of European countries that are in the European Union. For all other countries please prices in the Checkout. All shipping costs are including VAT. For all sale items a shipping cost will be added depending on what country the order will be shipped to. Fees for countries outside of EU For shipments outside EU, the shipping rate are not inclusive of any customs, import duties or taxes that could be levied when the package reaches your destination country. If you for any reason want to return the goods Swedish Hasbeens can not give a refund of any customs, import duties or taxes paid outside of EU. Delivery Your order will be delivered to the address you supply. We send with DHL within Sweden and with UPS to the rest of the world. We send you the tracking number for both DHL and UPS when we have sent you your package. If you fill out your mobile number you will receive a SMS-notification (this only applies to Swedish customers). You can track your order on www.Fedex.com or www.DHL.se If you are not at home at the at the time UPS deliver, they might leave your package outside your door. We do not take responsibility for missing packages in conjunction with that. Use your tracking number we provide in the shipping confirmation e-mail to track your order. Please note that after a sale the deliveries can take longer to process and be sent out. We will be back to normal delivery times next week. Normal delivery time is 3-5 business days, please see our delivery times here. During sale periods and holidays your order might take longer to be processed and sent. It might also take longer for you to receive answer to your e-mails. We hope your are able to overlook this. Swedish Hasbeens offers products for sale that are in stock and available for dispatch. Should it happen that our stock list is out of date, we will ask you by e-mail to decide whether you will change or cancel your order. Cancel orders Please note that we are not able to cancel any orders if they are in processing or have been sent. Send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to cancel your order, but can in no case guarantee that the order can be canceled. Miscellaneous All merchandise remains the property of Swedish Hasbeens until full payment is received. All attemps of fraud will be reported to the police. Swedish Hasbeens have the right to cancel an order if fraud is suspected. Do not send any pre-payments. We are not responsible for any cash, checks or stamps that are sent via mail. We only accept VISA, Master Card, American Express and Paypal. Please note that it is not possible to have a different billing and shipping address when paying with Paypal. Swedish Hasbeens reserve the right of errors caused by type faults or unintentional errors in the product information on our web pages. We cannot guarantee our pictures to display all colors with 100% accuracy. All prices are listed in Swedish kronor SEK and all prices include VAT (25%). The price listed on the Swedish Hasbeens website at the purchase time is the price applicable. Price increases and changes in the range can happen without warning. PROCESSED DATA AND PURPOSES
Below are the data we will process and the purposes behind it. - Contact details: If you make a purchase in our webshop we will collect your name, address, e-mail address, phone number and country of resident. We will use your contact details to be able to: • Process and ship your order • Email order and shipping confirmation • Handle returns, exchanges or possible complaints. • Email review e-mails - E-mail address: If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will save your e-mail address to be able to send them to you with information or campaigns. We will also use your e-mail address to be able to contact you via our customer support, but only in regard to your orders. - ID number: If you are located in Sweden, you are able to pay via payment option Klarna. If you choose to pay through Klarna, they will collect you ID number. - Credit Card: To be able to make a purchase online, paying by credit card, you will have to provide you credit card details. It is necessary that you leave your credit card details to complete your purchase and for us to be able to process and ship you order. - Previous purchases/returns/e-mails: When you make a purchase, we will save your order history, to be able to handle possible return, exchange or complaints. When you want to do a return or exchange, you will have to fill out an online return or exchange form with your name, information about your returning order, and reasons for the return. This information is necessary for us to be able to handle you return and meet your request. We will save the return and exchange forms for future analysis, to be able to improve our products and webshop. If you send Swedish Hasbeens an e-mail, we may save your e-mails to be able to answer your questions, assist you with a complaint or complete your request. Saved e-mails can also be used for future analysis, to be able to improve our FAQ, business and products. If customers have questions about previous e-mails they have sent, we will be able to search in history and provide it to them. It is also necessary for us to be able to search in our e-mail history in regard to possible disputes.
HOW LONG WILL WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
Swedish Hasbeens reserves the right to keep and process your personal data as long as it is necessary for us to be able to perform our obligations to you, as well as by law, to be able to handle complaints, defend ourselves in a dispute, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
If you are a subscriber to our newsletter and wants to unsubscribe, you have the right to do so. You can either unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe link, which is provided in all of our newsletter, or you can contacts us at firstname.lastname@example.org You have the right to see your personal details upon request and have them corrected if they are incorrect. Under certain circumstances you are entitled to request that we erase your personal data or restrict our processing of your data, for example when it is no longer necessary for us to process your data taking into consideration the purposes for which they were collected. Force majeure If Swedish Hasbeens fails to comply with the agreement because of unusual adverse circumstances outside of its control due to force majeure such as strikes, civil unrest, war or natural catastrophes such as earthquakes, volcanic action and other similar matters, then Swedish Hasbeens can not be held responsible.
MATERIALS AND CARE
Swedish Hasbeens's shoes are all hand-made, using the same craftsmanship as in the 70s, which is kind to both people and nature. We use natural materials, so you could pretty much bury your shoes in your garden. Like all hand-made stuff, using natural materials, every pair will be unique, which is a sign of quality. So do not worry if the wood varies in color or if there are twigs in it. Please be aware that the natural grain leather may have marks, can vary in color and also thickness. The untreated nature colored leather will darken with time. The colored leather, like black, might rub off on other light stuff and can loose color if it is scratched. The color on the painted wooden sole and the rubber sole will wear off naturally over time. Choosing hand-made stuff with natural materials just makes you more unique, which is really great, if you like being unique that is.
Our Natural Grained Leather
Don't get mad, the natural grain leather will soften and stretch with wear and one day fit like a glove... a foot-glove. The leather will look better the more you wear it. Please be aware that the natural grain leather may have marks, can vary in color and also thickness. If your Habeens squeaks, it is due to the fact that the leather is hard and overlaps, however, as the leather softens the squeaking sound will fade. Please note, it is better to just use all your Swedish Hasbeens in dry weather, since wood and natural leather really do not like moisture and if fully soaked they will stretch a lot!
The Nature Leather
Our nature leather is not colored, so it can vary in color and will darken naturally over time. To treat the nature leather, use a terry towel and apply a little olive oil on the untreated natural colored leather (not nubuck or colored leather) and it will look better and you will get a better resistance to dirt and water. The leather will darken a little bit after it has been treated with olive oil. Sunlight will also darken the nature leather. So if you want a darker ton, have you nature leather Hasbeens sunbathe. However, avoid leaving your colored Hasbeens in the sun, as it may change the color.
The Color & Nubuck Leather
The colored leather, like black, might rub off on other light stuff and can loose color if it is scratched. The color on the painted wooden sole and the rubber sole will wear off naturally over time. Some color variations can occur since the leather and wood varies and reacts naturally. The leather varies from one piece of leather to another. The colored leather does not need to be treated with oil or any other fat, since it is treated with color. If you would use any oil or leather fat, the leather will not absorb it. You can treat the leather with a little transparent shoe cream if you want the shoes to be a little more resistant to rain or dirt. Do not use colored shoe cream, as the color can run down on the wooden sole, which will leave marks that cannot be removed. The nubuck leather can be treated with a nubuck spray. If the nubuck leather gets dirty, depending on the dirt, you can let is dry and they rub with a clean terry towel. Do not use oil, shoe cream or leather fat on this material and avoid leaving your colored Hasbeens in the sun, as it may change the color.
The Metallic Colored Leather
Our metallic colored shoes works a little bit different than our other sandals. The metallic colored clogs have nature leather where the metallic color is applied on the leather, and not dyed. Therefore, the metallic color will naturally wear off over time, since it is applied as a layer of color. The metallic colors can also vary a little from each other, depending on how the metallic color reacts to the nature leather. As with the colored leather, you do not have to treat the leather. Avoid leaving your colored Hasbeens in the sun, as it may change the color.
Our Wooden Sole
Our wooden soles are made from lime tree, except from our Biker sandals, which have linden tree soles. Wood is a hard but fragile material, so watch out for knocking the back of the heel into stairs or edges of sidewalks, since the wood can chip. One of the reasons is that the heel of most of our shoes slopes outwards, so the upper edge at the back is slightly exposed. However, a chip is super-easy to glue back on, since it is a natural material. If you do not have the piece of wood you can get some wood paste and fill the hole, let it dry and then use some sand paper to make the surface smooth. Here is something unique: sandpaper can remove marks and dirt from the wood and you can also use some olive oil on the wood for protection. However, some of our heels are already treated with wax.
The Rubber Sole
The rubber sole underneath the wooden sole is glued on and will loosen over time since wood is a natural living material. Wood is a living material and will expand and compress depending on how moist, warm or cold it is in the air. It can happen faster if you have walked in rain or very moist weather. However, it's super-easy to glue the rubber sole back on or get a new biodegradable one at your local shoe repair shop. We recommend you to not walk direct on the wood, as you will wear it down.
Boots with Wooden Soles
Our boots have the same material as our sandals, except for our boots with shearling, cotton lining or natural rubber soles (for further information, please read below). You can read more about the wood, leather and rubber soles above. The wooden soled boots should be treated the same as our sandals, with exceptions for the shearling. Some customers experience that the wooden soled boots are loose around the heel, so when they walk the boots are slipping of the heel. The boots will not fall off your feet, but it will be slipping, so it is more of a habit to get used to. Since the wooden sole is not flexible, as plastic or rubber, and the leather is stapled on in the back, it will create a feeling of the boots slipping.
Boots with Natural Rubber Soles
The natural rubber sole is really comfortable to walk on and is great as a sole since it's soft and flexible, yet with strength and durability. However, please note that it is a natural, organic material and it can be sensitive to very strong heat, making it sticky, and in the long run making it hard and dry. Just like our other natural shoe materials, natural rubber is a living material, so please take care of it, dry it slowly, do not expose it to extreme heat, talk to it and the shoes should last for your grand kids. All of our rubber boots have warm cotton lining, except for our Lace Up Rubber Bootie, which is leather-lined with cotton inner soles. We recommend using our rubber-soled boots in dry and cold weather. However, as there may be snow outside you can treat your rubber boots to decrease possible leakage, though, the rubber boots are not a 100% waterproof. You can either use clear or transparent shoe cream for protection and shine, or clear shoe fat for protection and a more matte finish. To decrease possible leakage we would advise you to also put wax or fat on the seams, with extra attention to the area where the leather meets the rubber sole. Please be aware that our Lace Up Rubber Booties have nubuck leather, so it is not to be treated with shoe cream or fat, but with nubuck spray. The Natural Rubber soles on our Rubber Boots are great on snow but can be slippery on ice or other slippery surfaces so use with caution.
Please use dry cleaning. Overall, these shoes are really comfortable and kind to your feet and with the right care your kids will think their mom was super-cool way back in the 2010's...
